The drawers come with temperature controls that let you set them to Meat, Beverage or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, however I found their textured plastic coatings to be a little rough on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator has all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator in this price range. It has Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app, available for iOS and Android devices, lets you control your fridge from anywhere in the world, and has numerous options for customization. It also alerts you when doors are left open, when your fridge or freezer needs to be defrosted and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be great it GE PYE22PYNFS had Precise Fill the option that is available in a handful of GE refrigerators that allow users to choose the number of cups they would like to dispense. It does have a countdown on the fridge display to show how much water you have left, but it's not as helpful as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is an impressive product. It's designed to look like it's a seamless part in your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also boasts a veggie compartment that helps keep vegetables and fruits fresher longer and dual compressors for the best preservation of food. The ice maker is one of the most efficient we've ever tested, and it produces a pyramid-shaped form of ice with a low use of water. This fridge is ideal for a small household or a kitchenette that wants an attractive design and top of the highest quality food preservation.

This fridge was the top-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators Test for several reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained stable at just a few degrees Fahrenheit, and never moving by more than a fraction an inch. This is essential to avoiding freezer burn. The fridge section of the fridge also performed well, achieving the desired initial set temperature within an hour and maintaining that temperature steady over the course of our tests.

Bosch has a reputation for high-end appliances which is why it's no surprise that this counter-depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance that has the option to connect to your home Wi-Fi network and Bosch's Home Connect platform. The app lets you monitor and control your fridge from your smartphone or tablet. The fridge is a bit expensive, but it comes with excellent features and functionality for the cost.

While the fridge is an amazing appliance, it's important to know the limitations. It is possible to be inventive with tall items since the fridge has a limited shelf space. Also the shelves aren't impervious to sprills and could be damaged or stained by sharp objects. LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The LG LRFLC2706S counter-depth fridge is a great option for those who require a lot of space in the space of a compact frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge has a standard French door design, with two rows of spill-capture shelving and a set crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded down to make space for tall items. There's also  french style fridge freezer -width drawer for deli and an inside water dispenser.

One of the nice features of this refrigerator is that its Ice maker is located in the freezer, making it easy to transfer frozen ice to the fridge to be used when it is required. The freezer also features innovative design features such as sliding drawers that can help you sort your things. It comes with a large bin to store frozen food items, and a separate container for ice.

Another great feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. It allows you to control the fridge's temperature and lighting via your smartphone. It's a nice way to monitor and manage your refrigerator, especially if you're away from home.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat, but it doesn't necessarily improve the performance of the fridge. In fact it took longer to defrost and chill foods in this fridge as compared to other fridges we tested. This could be due to the larger capacity.

The other issue we have with this refrigerator is its doors. The sunken handles allow smaller people to open them from the bottom. However taller people have a difficult time closing them without slamming them. It would have been much better if these had front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent choice for those looking to combine the look of a French door refrigerator with a more efficient design. Its capacity is higher than average for counter-depth models and also cools evenly. It's also a little less than the top counter depth refrigerator that comes with an ice maker, which makes it a desirable option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a great choice when you're looking for a French door refrigerator that doesn't cost a lot of budget. It's a simple fridge that might not be as attractive as some of its competitors however it has enough features to make a suitable option. Its most significant feature, the adjustable temperature drawer, helps to keep food like meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also has a large water dispenser, as well as an excellent ice machine that works fast.

The "Chill Drawer", which is located over the two crisper bins, is another excellent feature. The drawer allows you to divert part of the refrigerator's cooling power directly into this area, so you can keep food items that need extra attention. This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also combine this fridge with a smart thermometer for more precise measurements of your fridge's temperature.

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's exterior is constructed of stainless steel with a grey body with a "smudge-proof" finish. It is capable of removing streaks and fingerprints, even compared to glossy stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tried.
